$80.00 Advance Your Yoga Series: Strengthening the Core
Core strength is key for good posture, mobility, injury prevention and arm balances. In this four-week series with Amy we'll learn:
- poses and exercises to strengthen the core muscle group
- what the bandhas are and how to engage them
- the connection between the core and posture, injury prevention, and arm balances
This series is an excellent prep for anyone interested in exploring arm balances and we encourage you to pair this with our upcoming Advance Your Yoga Series: Arm Balances coming in February.
This four-week session is recommended for those with a basic understanding of the postures and transitions, but you do not need to be an advanced practitioner to come and play. This series will do as the title suggests and help you advance your practice.
Pricing: This series costs $80 for the full four-week series; $60 for members.
Amy Rizzotto
Amy Rizzotto (E-RYT 500, YACEP, CNC) has been a yoga student
for over 17 years and counts her lucky stars that she has been able to make the
practice a full-time career. Prior to teaching yoga and nutrition coaching, Amy
spent nearly a decade in international development, global philanthropy, and
fundraising. She has worked individually with players from the Washington
Nationals and is the team yoga instructor for the Washington Capitals. Amy is
dedicated to creating a synergy of functional and therapeutic movement,
sustainable healthy eating, and mindfulness for total mind-body wellness.
