Dance Mandala (June)
Thursday, June 15, 2023
Location: Past Tense (Lamont)
Dance Mandala is a movement meditation practice for anyone who is inspired by dance as a way to calm the mind, stretch the body, and deepen self-awareness. Through dance, breath, and meditation, we cultivate peace, creativity, and spaciousness so we can reconnect with being in our bodies and inner bliss.
Wear comfortable clothing yoga clothes and bring layers and water. We'll be dancing barefoot.
Pricing: $25; $20 for members and Early Bird through June 12.
Saturday, June 24, 2023
Location: Past Tense Alley
In this workshop with Rachel, we'll learn about the six functions of the hip joint and how to make our hips happier through mobility, stability, and strength practices. Come prepared to play and explore:
—The mechanics of hip flexion and extension, internal and external rotation, and adduction and abduction.
— Awareness of how our own hips are structured and how to practice in a way that supports our bodies rather than trying to change them.
— How happy hips aid our yoga practice, life practice and a healthy spine.
