Past Tense (Lamont)
3169 Mt Pleasant St. NW Entrance on Lamont (upstairs)
Washington, DC 20010

Level: Recommended for those with some yoga experience.

Class Description: Start the weekend off with a playful, dynamic vinyasa flow set to fun music. Students should expect an energetic and playful class with lots of variations so you can shake off the week. We'll end with a deeply relaxing Savasana, leaving you ready to embrace the weekend.

Stephen Krzyzanowski

Steve grew up as a gymnast and was drawn to yoga as a way to honor the body sustainably and mindfully. He is always looking for the little lessons inherent in our practice: take the time to warm up, look within and examine, let go of what does not serve, meet yourself where you are, find comfort in moments of surrender, etc. Steve's classes offer a reflection on how we can apply the lessons of practice to our lives. These thoughts are woven into a steadily-paced warm up, an energizing standing sequence, and a flexibility-focused cooldown.

Kris King

Kris graduated from the Swastha Yoga International 200 Hour Teacher Training in 2022 and the Past Tense Yoga Immersion Program in 2023. Her classes combine joyful movement with energetic breath work (as well the occasional dance party or two). Off the mat, Kris is also a writer, creative teaching artist, and nonprofit administrator and you can find her facilitating creative and movement based programming in and around the DMV area.
