Dance Mandala is a movement meditation practice for anyone who is inspired by dance as a way to calm the mind, stretch the body, and deepen self-awareness. Through dance, breath, and meditation, we cultivate peace, creativity, and spaciousness so we can reconnect with being in our bodies and inner bliss.  The dance will finish in stillness with a soothing sound healing journey.  Join Shaden and Lorraine for a vibrant evening!


Note: Wear comfortable clothing and bring layers and water.  We'll be dancing barefoot.

Lorraine Hinds

Lorraine started practicing yoga at a very early age as part of her training in dance and rediscovered the practice as an adult. Lorraine has practiced several forms of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Dharma, and Restorative yoga. In 2013, Lorraine completed the 500 hour YogaWorks teacher training and Restorative yoga certificates and her teaching is a combination of the many forms of yoga that she’s practiced throughout the years. Her focus is on the breath, alignment, gentle awareness, and conscious relaxation. 

Shaden Dowiatt

One of Shaden Dowiatt's greatest joys in life is dancing and she has spent the last few years on a journey of deepening her movement meditation dance practice. In the summer of 2022, Shaden, a regular Past Tense student, completed an intensive DANCEmandala facilitation training in Chiang Mai, Thailand and is excited to share this special practice with the Mt. Pleasant community.
